Elliott Leslie (nee Tillmann) has spent much of her life volunteering with various organizations, beginning at the age of ten with the local Headstart program on an Air Force base in Grand Forks, ND. Her years of volunteer work eventually brought her to working as a volunteer doula both with Seattle based Open Arms and with the Honduran organization Dar a Luz. From there, her love for birth work was cemented and her path to midwifery swiftly followed. Elliott also studied at the University of Washington where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in sociology with a focus on gender, class and racial equity. She has been active in the Midwives Association of Washington State (MAWS) since 2017 and currently sits on the Board of Directors as acting secretary.
Outside of midwifery, Elliott spends her time enjoying the company of her two small children and her partner, hiking, camping, gardening, and reading.

Lizz began her journey to midwifery at an early age after witnessing their brother's home birth. They graduated with honors from Stanford University, majoring in Human Biology with a concentration in adolescent sexuality. She volunteered extensively with the university’s sexual, reproductive, and mental health student groups. They have lived in the Seattle area for over nine years and is very happy to call the Pacific Northwest home.
As a white, queer person with plenty of privilege, Lizz is passionate about building a truly inclusive midwifery practice and acknowledges that her privilege leads to blank spots. They are committed to educating themself and working tirelessly to offer care that meets clients where they are and honors the whole of their experience.
Outside of midwifery, Lizz loves making flower salads, knitting, gardening, and taking their cats for walks.

Jordyn has always had a passion for maternal healthcare, which is why she pursued a master’s degree in biology at Mississippi College in Clinton, MS. After shortly working in the medical field, she understood the importance of advocacy for those who are often overlooked, especially Being an African American woman from the south. Thus, the flame of midwifery was lit in her heart, and she began her student midwifery journey at Bastyr University. Jordyn is excited to be joining Wellspring as a student midwife, and is eager to join in this experience. In her free time, Jordyn enjoys crocheting new projects, and digging through a buttery tub of popcorn at the movies.
Elliott and Lizz both graduated from Bastyr University with Masters of Science in Midwifery. They are passionate about offering evidence-based, tailored midwifery care, and believe that strong relationships are key to positive birth experiences. Elliott and Lizz are thrilled to be supporting families through the tremendous transition that is pregnancy, birth, and parenthood. They are deeply committed to an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed style of care and believe that the Midwives Model of Care has the potential to heal the many personal, social, and intergenerational wounds that we all carry.
Lizz & Elliott truly believe that they work better together. You will get to know both midwives throughout your care and you can be assured that at least one (and usually both!) of your trusted midwives will be at your birth, whether you choose a home birth or birth center birth. Two midwives also means that they can take turns off-call, promoting a healthy, sustainable practice and happy midwives.
When not catching babies, Lizz and Elliott share a love for botanical medicine, gardening, wildcrafting herbal remedies, and hiking. They are thrilled to be serving South King County and are enjoying exploring the trails and parks around Federal Way, Auburn, and Des Moines. Thank you for trusting us to be a part of your journey!
